Specialist pharmaceutical publisher Samedan Ltd is a dynamic, forward-thinking company that produces a range of market-leading magazines for senior and middle-management professionals across the global pharma and life sciences sectors.
Established in 1996, it has four established print and digital titles: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packing Sourcer, International Clinical Trials (incorporating European Pharmaceutical Contractor), European Biopharmaceutical Review and Innovations in Pharmaceutical Technology.
These analysis-driven magazines cover the latest trends and developments affecting our global audience of contract research, pharma and biotech practitioners – from early-stage research and clinical trials, to manufacture, supply and beyond. Regulatory compliance, operational considerations, outsourcing trends, market entry and cutting-edge technologies are among the many subjects covered.
In 2013, the company extended its range with the acquisition of the Pharmafile portfolio, consisting of the monthly newspaper Pharmafocus, www.pharmafile.com and the Pharmafile directory. A leading portal for the pharmaceutical sector, industry professionals can gain access to pharma news, events and service company listings. Samedan Ltd’s publications are widely distributed at international conferences and exhibitions, and it has a strong network of partners across the industry.
FlyPharma Conferences
The first FlyPharma Conference was launched in September 2015 at London Heathrow, pooling Samedan’s broad readership across the pharmaceutical and logistics/cargo industries. Two titles in particular complement each other well and provided the basis of the FlyPharma concept: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packing Sourcer (PMPS) and Pharmafocus.
PMPS offers extensive pharmaceutical experience from a manufacturing, packaging and logistics perspective, and particularly relevant are its cargo-related readers – forwarders, handlers, airports and carriers. Pharmafocus brings a pharma audience with a diverse range of backgrounds and provides a news-driven energy. Together, these publications support FlyPharma as media partners and provide a strong base for opening up communication between two sectors (pharma and cargo) that depend on each other for success.
In 2018, FlyPharma expanded to three regional events: Asia, Europe and US. Each conference was a success and was met with extremely positive feedback from the industry. FlyPharma Europe took place again in 2019 in Copenhagen, and FlyPharma Asia and US will return in 2021. All events cover global pharma supply chain challenges and collaborative opportunities, but each focuses on how that particular region’s unique characteristics both impact and fit within a worldwide marketplace.
