What support is available to help you successfully achieve truly collaborative end-to-end pharma lanes? Involving local airport communities and actively supported by shippers, collaboration group Pharma.Aero has been set up to do just that. In an interactive panel, taking place at the FlyPharma Conference 2017, members will discuss their key recommendations and offer the audience advice. Here, the organisation reveals its goals and ambitions for its members and the industry.

Pharma.Aero is an exclusive and independent membership-driven association comprised of members from airport communities, pharmaceutical shippers and other cargo logistics stakeholders from around the world. Already 16 members have joined our association since the launch in 2016.

It is our vision to achieve reliable end-to-end air transport for pharmaceutical cargo. Our mission is to foster collaboration between CEIV pharma-certified airport communities dedicated to developing and leading when it comes to handling pharmaceuticals.

The organisation will accomplish this by fostering route certification/development of pharmaceutical trade lanes. Our members will help connecting the dots (markets) for pharma shipments with other partners that are committed to CEIV and dedicated to properly handling pharma. Additionally, members will share market knowledge and expertise and implement best practices with all supply chain partners (end-to-end). Furthermore, the association will help organise events, projects workshops and local and regional pharma shipper fora that connect CEIV airport communities to the end customer: pharma manufacturers. Through collaboration among all pharma stakeholders, Pharma.Aero will achieve excellence in reliable end-to-end transportation for the pharma shippers and patients.

The active involvement by pharma shippers is key to the objectives of Pharma.Aero. As Johnson & Johnson, MSD and Pfizer are board members, we can proudly say that the involvement is guaranteed. Pharma.Aero focuses on prioritising and developing projects and events, and will also continue to recruit key international pharma stakeholders to increase membership and participation.
